Welcome to AV Mastery, operated by AV Mastery Ltd ("AV Mastery", "we", "us", "our"), a platform built to connect audiovisual professionals with clients, collaborators, and opportunities. By using our platform at www.avmastery.com (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not access or use the Platform.

Definitions

• User: Anyone accessing or using the Platform, including free and paid accounts.
• AV Professional: A paying User who has created a public profile.
• Client: A User searching for AV Professionals.
• Data: Information provided by Users including profile details, endorsements, certifications, and usage metadata.
• Content: All data, text, media, and other material posted or transmitted on the Platform.

User Accounts

Account Creation

Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Each User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details.

Free Users

Free Users may browse public sections of the Platform and access basic features but will not be publicly listed or searchable.

Paid Users (AV Professionals)

Paid Users may create a public profile, be featured in search results, and access additional tools. Subscription fees apply as per Section 4.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

Subscriptions, Payments & Pricing

Payments

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. Payment details must be valid and up to date.

Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not issue refunds for current periods.

Price Adjustments

We may change pricing at any time. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email or Platform notice.

Certificates and Data Parsing

Certification Uploads

AV Professionals may upload training certificates or qualifications for parsing.

Data Retention

We do not store the original certificate files. Only parsed data (e.g. course title, provider, completion date) is retained on your profile.

Consent

By uploading a document for parsing, you consent to our use of automated tools and manual review to extract and record relevant information.

Use of Platform

Acceptable Use

• You must not: Post false or misleading information.
• You must not: Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• You must not: Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or to interfere with Platform security.

Platform Changes

We may update or suspend the Platform at any time for technical, legal, or business reasons.

Marketing and Communications

By signing up, you agree to receive email communications from AV Mastery related to your account, marketing, product updates, and community engagement. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in emails.

Data Privacy and International Compliance

• AV Mastery is based in the UK and complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
• Where applicable, we also adhere to EU GDPR (European Union).

• PDPA (Singapore, Thailand)

Global Data Transfers

User data may be transferred and processed in countries outside your own. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure adequate protection through appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or data adequacy decisions.

Anonymised Data Use

We may analyse and sell anonymised, aggregated data for commercial or research purposes. This data cannot be used to identify any individual user.

Data Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Requests should be made via our contact email (see Section 13).

Intellectual Property

The Platform, its branding, design, and all original content are the property of AV Mastery Ltd. Users retain ownership of content they submit, but grant AV Mastery a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such content for platform-related purposes, including promotion and feature development.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Platform in a way that could cause harm to AV Mastery or its users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

Platform Availability and Liability

Availability

We strive for high availability but make no guarantees of uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance or outages will be communicated when possible.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AV Mastery shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the 'Effective Date' and notify users via email or Platform notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
